Balancing practicality with visibility, this warehouse and office facility in an East Tamaki industrial estate makes the most of its tightly defined site.
An angled façade responds to the bend in the road, maximising the view of the building. The office component extends along the full width of the site to obscure the yard areas behind, while still maintaining truck access.
The road frontage yard was landscaped and paved to soften the industrial office edge and provide a north-facing respite space for staff. The permeable office façade ensures visibility of activity behind the glass, in contrast with the solid extent of the partially viewed warehouse.
