The client’s brief was to convert the former Quba apartment building into a viable hotel proposition. The original apartments were designed by WMZA in 2007 and featured double-height apartments surrounding an internal atrium.
With strategic planning and modest building alterations, the reconfiguration nearly doubled the number of rooms. A series of sky bridges crossing the atrium provide access to the newly formed intermediate levels.
The 4-star Adina Hotel now incorporates 140 stylish studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, along with a bar, cafe, gym and conference venue.
