International shipping firm Cosco’s New Zealand office relocated into a character 1920s warehouse space, and commissioned the WMZ Interiors team to design the interior fit out.
The open-plan spaces in the 680 sqm office feature exposed timber trusses overhead, with polished concrete floors in the circulation and function/lunchroom areas. A pixelated wave pattern in the carpeted floor blurs the separation between the enclosed office/meeting rooms and the open plan areas.
Shipping container imagery is reflected in the custom-designed screen and floor rug in the reception area. A raised floor section and planter box with foliage screening designates a multifunctional break-out space for staff and clients. Staff facilities also include space for a small on-site gym.
