Steve completed his architectural studies at the University of Victoria, Wellington in 1983. Upon registration, he travelled overseas and gained extensive experience primarily in the UK. It was here that he worked, not only as an architect, but also as a project manager and design manager for a number of UK corporates on large sophisticated projects.
Returning to NZ to manage the delivery of the new Auckland City Hospital for JASMAX, he then joined Westfield and design managed a number of shopping centres around NZ.
Steve is currently a Director with WMZA with particular expertise in the retail, healthcare and commercial sectors. His practical experience in delivering large, fast tracked, complex projects coupled with his Client/Design management background makes him a well regarded, very capable, practical, project leader.
Steve understands that the best architectural outcomes result from a team that adopts a collaborative approach; that is well lead and provides integrated solutions in which architecture, structure, services, economics and performance are all, inextricably linked.
